Theme: Transformative Research for Sustainable Development. Dates: 22nd - 24th September, 2010. Venue: Agricultural Resources Centre (ARC) - Hotel, Egerton University, Njoro Campus. Preamble : Scientific research and its application stimulate socio-economic and industrial development of Nations. Training and research are core activities of institutions of higher learning. Egerton University conducts research in various disciplines, with collaborating partners. Egerton University organizes an annual conference for disseminating the findings of various researches conducted in the year and topical contemporary issues related to the University's research theme. This will contribute towards Egerton's realization of its vision of being "A world class University for the advancement of humanity." The Ecological Society for Eastern Africa (ESEA) will host its 3rd Regional Scientific Conference from the 19th to 21st May, 2010 at Multi Media University, Nairobi, Kenya. The theme for the Conference is: "Climate Change and Natural Resource use in Eastern Africa: Impacts, adaptations and mitigation" |

This conference will be held at Egerton University from the 24th to 28th of May 2010. This conference will be held at Sheikh Technical Veterinary School (STVS), Somaliland from 18th to 19th May, 2010. Among other things, the conference aims to provide a forum for interaction and an avenue for exchange of information between stakeholders in pastoral livestock development.
